Job summary

VOCA Fire Protection is seeking a skilled Fire & Security Small Works & Projects Engineer to service clients across the Northwest region. The role involves installation, testing and maintenance of fire alarms, PAVA and intruder systems, with frequent client interaction and collaboration with the service team.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work under pressure to meet deadlines, and willing to travel with a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire protection, life safety systems or similar technical field; FIA/BAFE qualifications preferred.
• Must be able to travel and hold a full UK driving licence.
• Fire alarm experience is mandatory and able to fault-find under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain fire protection systems including alarms, PAVA and intruder systems across sites.
• Provide excellent client interaction and professional communication.
• Collaborate with engineers, service team and management to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain health and safety compliance across sites and complete documentation.
• Participate in training and respond to 24-hour on-call duties.
