Job summary

AWD online is seeking an experienced Fire and Security Service Engineer / Small Works Engineer to service commercial, industrial and care sector sites across the Midlands. You will perform PM visits, fault-finding and repairs on fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, door access and nurse call systems.

The role requires strong fault-finding, knowledge of regulations, and a customer-facing approach. A Full UK driving licence is essential, with a company vehicle and benefits on offer.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with fire and security systems.
• Strong fault-finding ability.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Own hand tools and drills.

Responsibilities

• Carry Out Planned Maintenance: Complete planned preventative maintenance / PPM visits across sites.
• Service Fire and Security Systems: Service and maintain fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and door access.
• Diagnose and Repair Faults: Identify faults and perform repairs to minimise disruption.
• Complete Small Works: Support small works on fire and security installations.
• Maintain Industry Standards: Ensure work complies with BS5839 and regulations.
• Complete Service Reports: Record work accurately and generate reports.
• Provide Technical Support: Offer technical guidance when required.
• Deliver Customer Service: Maintain high customer service on site.
