Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a Fire and Security Service Engineer / Small Works Engineer to service and maintain a range of systems across Midlands sites. You will perform PPM visits, fault-finding and repairs on fire alarms, CCTV and access control, while handling small works and customer-facing duties.

The role requires strong technical fault-finding, knowledge of fire systems regulations, and the ability to work independently with hand tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with fire and security systems.
• Strong fault-finding ability.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Own hand tools and drills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

• Carry Out Planned Maintenance: complete planned preventative maintenance / PPM visits across commercial, industrial and care sector sites.
• Service Fire and Security Systems: service and maintain fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV, door access control and nurse call systems.
• Diagnose and Repair Faults: identify technical faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise disruption for customers.
• Complete Small Works: support small works activity across a range of fire and security installations and upgrades.
• Maintain Industry Standards: ensure all work is completed in line with current regulations, industry standards and BS5839.
• Complete Service Reports: record work accurately and complete service reports to a professional standard.
• Provide Technical Support: offer practical technical support and advice where required.
• Deliver Customer Service: maintain a high level of customer service when working on customer sites.
