Job summary

AVA Fire & Security is seeking a Fire and Security Engineer for field-based work in South Wales. You will install, service, maintain, and repair fire and security systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and high standards of customer service.

Candidates should have 2–3 years' experience with fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control, plus UK driving licence and a willingness to participate in on-call rotas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years' experience in servicing and maintaining fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills across fire and security technologies.
• Proficient in completing technical documentation accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

• Maintain van stock levels and equipment storage in coordination with Stores Person.
• Conduct regular vehicle, compliance, and health & safety checks.
• Service, maintain, and carry out small works on fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults across a range of fire and security systems.
• Respond promptly to emergency callouts and provide on-site support.
