Job summary

CIA Fire & Security, part of The Ranger Group, is seeking a Project Engineer to own fire & security projects from design through to handover. The Cirencester-based role offers a competitive salary and benefits, with a focus on delivering high-quality, compliant installations.

You will lead installation teams, coordinate subcontractors, and produce essential documentation while maintaining strong client and internal stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Project Engineer or Senior Installation Engineer role.
• Strong commissioning and fault-finding experience within Fire & Security.
• Experience reading and producing technical drawings and schedules.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical delivery of projects from pre-start through to handover.
• Lead installation teams and coordinate subcontractors.
• Produce drawings, schedules, RAMS, commissioning plans and documentation.
• Drive quality, safety and compliance to NSI Gold and BAFE standards.
• Commission systems, manage client witness testing and train end users.
• Identify variations, monitor budgets and protect project margins.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.
