Job summary

Hall & Kay is recruiting a multi-disciplined Fire & Security Service Engineer for the Manchester area. The role covers service, PPM, installation, configuration and support of fire alarm and integrated security systems, with training provided across manufacturer ranges and our in-house facility.

You will maintain systems to BS5839 standards, respond to callouts, and deliver high-quality technical service to clients across the North region. Opportunities for professional development are available.

Qualifications

• Proven and demonstrable experience in fire alarm systems maintenance.
• Knowledge of BS5839 standards and their practical application.
• Experience servicing addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance, and fault diagnosis of fire alarm systems across the North region.
• Install, configure, and commission integrated security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion).
• Provide on-site and remote technical support and training as needed.
• Maintain detailed service records, certificates, and compliance documentation.
• Respond to emergency callouts and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
