Job summary

Securitas Technology is seeking a proactive Fire & Security Engineer to maintain and service fire and security systems across the Yorkshire area. You will take ownership of issues, resolve them efficiently, and help prevent future challenges while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires 3+ years in the security industry, a clean UK driving licence, and eligibility for Security Clearance (SC).

Qualifications

• Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance (SC).

As aFire & Security Engineer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and supporting our customers’ systems across technologies such as:Access Control, Intrusion Protection, Video Surveillance, Door Entry, Audio Alarm Verification, Staff Protection, Public Address, Time & Attendance, and LED Lighting.

This will be covering the Yorkshire area.

• Use PDA management software to manage service calls and maintenance visits.
• Attend and resolve daily service calls plus scheduled maintenance work.
• Take responsibility for your vehicle and stock, ensuring they’re properly maintained.
• Bring a proactive, positive, "can-do" approach to every job.
• Join the callout rota, with opportunities for additional earning potential.
• Work flexibly when needed to meet client demand.
• Be based within ~30 minutes of your working area for responsive service.

Qualifications

What you will need...

Eligibility & Clearance:

Must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC).

Technical Knowledge:

• Intruder systems such as Texecom, Galaxy, Pacom & GE ranges.
• Access Control (PC-based & standalone): Lenel, CEM, C-Cure, PAC & Paxton.
• CCTV systems across analogue and IP platforms.
• Advantageous: experience with Milestone, Dahua, Genetec, and CEM.
• Strong IP networking skills and understanding of basic electrical principles.

Experience & Skills:

• At least 3 years’ experience in the security systems industry.
• Proven field service/technical experience.
• Clean full UK driving licence
• Solid understanding of industry standards.
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to spot and refer potential sales opportunities (commission available).
• Good communication, time management, and planning skills.
