Job summary

Advance Fire & Security is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to install, service and maintain fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems across client sites. This hands-on role suits someone who takes pride in accurate work and delivering a reliable service to customers.

You will perform installations, routine servicing and maintenance, identify faults, document service records and communicate clearly with customers and colleagues while adhering to safety

Summary of the Role

Advance Fire & Security is looking for an experienced engineer to install, service and maintain fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving technical problems and delivers a professional, reliable service to customers.

What will you be doing?

You will work on fire and security systems, carrying out installations, routine servicing and maintenance. Duties include:

• Installing and servicing fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems.


• Identifying faults and carrying out repairs.


• Checking that systems operate correctly and explaining their use to customers.


• Completing service records, handover documentation and timesheets accurately.


• Communicating clearly with customers and colleagues.


• Following safe working practices and keeping work areas tidy.

Location

Applicants should be based within 30 miles of our office in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire (PE29 6FY).

Pay Rate

£45,000 per annum, with overtime opportunities

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience as a fire and security engineer.


• Knowledge of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems.


• Familiarity with systems from manufacturers such as Texecom, Galaxy, Dahua, Hikvision, Morley, Kentec and Paxton would be an advantage.


• Full UK driving licence.


• ECS card.


• FIA qualifications desirable.
