SecureShield, part of the Ranger Fire & Security Group, is seeking a Fire & Security Commissioning Engineer for Newcastle Upon Tyne. Salary £35K-£45K, depending on experience.

Join a team where your technical skill is recognised and you are trusted as the expert on site. You will commission and test fire alarms, security systems, and TECS equipment, troubleshoot on complex systems, and collaborate with design and install teams to deliver top-tier projects.

Qualifications

• Strong commissioning and electrical engineering skills.
• Solid experience with electrical testing and verification.
• Knack for troubleshooting and solving problems under pressure.
• Knowledge of fire & security standards.
• Experience in the Fire & Security sector is ideal but not essential.
• Relevant electrical/technical qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning and testing fire alarms, security systems, and TECS equipment
• Fault-finding like a pro and getting systems over the finish line
• Working closely with design and install teams to deliver top-tier projects
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Supporting smooth client handovers with confidence and clarity
