Job summary

Recruitment Helpline in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an experienced Fire and Security Engineer to join a well-established contractor. The role covers installation, maintenance, and commissioning of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control, with a focus on safety and high-quality customer service.

You will perform planned maintenance, reactive service calls, and small installs; a valid full driving licence and at least 3 years' experience are required.

Qualifications

• An industry specific accredited qualification (or working towards).
• A very good understanding of BS5839-1.
• Work on systems including fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and associated equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently and safely.
• Be able to manage own workload and arrange appointments with customers.
• 3 years minimum experience and a valid full Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on fire, security and electrical systems.
• Handle reactive service calls and small installs for fire alarms and access control.
• Provide high level of customer service at all times.
• Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicles to a professional standard.
