Job summary

Network Rail Scotland is hiring a Fire Safety Engineer based in Glasgow to protect passengers, colleagues and infrastructure. You will provide fire safety guidance across stations and assets, carry out risk assessments and support safer design and decision-making in line with industry standards.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, review contractor fire safety arrangements, and help drive continuous improvement across Scotland's rail network.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire safety risk assessments and inspections.
• Ability to provide specialist fire safety advice on projects and asset changes.
• Knowledge of industry standards and legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fire risk assessments and assurance activities across Scotland.
• Provide specialist fire safety advice on projects and asset changes.
• Support investigations and share lessons learned to drive improvement.
• Review contractor and supplier fire safety arrangements.
• Deliver practical guidance to managers and frontline teams.
• Help shape fire safety standards and assurance programmes.
