Job summary

Search People is seeking a meticulous Fire Risk Assessor for a home-based role covering Scotland, including Glasgow and surrounding areas. You will travel to residential properties to conduct Type 1, 3 and 4 FRAs and compile reports that meet current fire safety standards.

The role offers autonomy, regional travel, and support from an industry-leading consultancy, with ongoing professional development and a competitive salary up to £45,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting residential Fire Risk Assessments is essential.
• Recognised qualification in Fire Risk Assessment (e.g., Level 4, NEBOSH or IFE/IFSM).
• In-depth knowledge of UK fire safety legislation for residential premises.
• Exceptional report-writing skills with attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel daily to sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Type 1, 3 & 4 FRAs across residential buildings incl. high-rise HMOs.
• Produce clear, compliant FRA reports in line with UK legislation.
• Provide pragmatic, actionable remediation recommendations to clients.
• Build strong relationships with property managers, landlords and freeholders.
• Manage your own schedule and travel within the region.
