Job summary

Power and Infrastructure Resourcing Ltd is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (Civils) to support rail infrastructure in Scotland. The role mixes office and site work, coordinating technical activities, ensuring safe delivery and compliance with Network Rail standards.

You will manage design integration, review key documentation, monitor progress and liaise with project stakeholders across multiple sites. Travel across Scotland is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in railway civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Strong civils construction delivery experience.
• Valid Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification.
• Sound understanding of Network Rail standards and procedures.
• Experience coordinating construction activities and engineering documentation.
• IT proficiency with relevant project management software.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Willingness to travel between project locations across Scotland.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day technical activities across multiple work sites.
• Oversee civil engineering workbank delivery with Construction Managers and Site Supervisors.
• Manage engineering design integration from development through to construction and completion.
• Review WPP, TBS, ITP, QCS and safety assurance records.
• Monitor progress, conduct site inspections and identify risks.
• Manage technical queries, change control and design modifications.
• Coordinate temporary works, site investigations and ground surveys.
• Support Project Managers and commercial teams with scope reviews and delays.
• Assist with CRE duties and NR/L2/INI/02009 when appointed.
• Participate in IDR/IDC design reviews and coordination meetings.
• Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards and client requirements.
• Support GRIP/PACE deliverables and AMP processes.
• Maintain communication with subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate project close-out activities, snagging and as-built documentation.
