Job summary

Brandon James in Glasgow is seeking a Fire Engineer to join a growing fire engineering consultancy. You will work alongside experienced engineers and project leaders, supporting the delivery of fire strategies from concept through to completion across residential, commercial, education and healthcare sectors.

The role involves fire safety design reviews, technical reporting, Building Regulations compliance, means of escape assessments and advising clients and design teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Fire Engineering, Engineering, Building Services or related discipline.
• Experience within fire engineering or fire safety consultancy.
• Knowledge of UK fire safety guidance and Building Regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in progressing towards professional membership with the IFE, CIBSE or another relevant institution.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of fire strategies from concept through to completion.
• Undertake fire safety design reviews and prepare technical reports.
• Provide practical advice to clients, architects and wider design teams.
• Assist with Building Regulations compliance, means of escape assessments and fire safety solutions for new-build and refurbishment projects.

A well-established fire engineering consultancy is looking for a Fire Engineer to join their growing Glasgow team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Fire Engineer who wants exposure to varied, technically interesting projects across residential, commercial, education, healthcare and mixed-use developments.

The Fire Engineer's Role

The Fire Engineer will work alongside experienced engineers and project leaders, supporting the delivery of fire strategies from concept through to completion.

The Fire Engineer will undertake fire safety design reviews, prepare technical reports and provide practical advice to clients, architects and wider design teams. The role will also include assisting with Building Regulations compliance, means of escape assessments and fire safety solutions for new-build and refurbishment projects.

The Fire Engineer

The successful Fire Engineer will ideally have:

• A degree in Fire Engineering, Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline
• Experience within fire engineering or fire safety consultancy
• Knowledge of UK fire safety guidance and Building Regulations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• An interest in progressing towards professional membership with the IFE, CIBSE or another relevant institution
