Job summary

Home Group Limited is seeking a Maintenance Surveyor to strengthen fire safety and compliance across Hertfordshire, Essex and North London with occasional travel to other areas. You will inspect fire doors, oversee replacements and remediation, and manage contractor works to ensure high safety standards and regulatory compliance.

This role requires knowledge of fire safety legislation, building regulations, and strong communication to coordinate with customers and teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire safety, building safety or housing maintenance.
• Strong fire door and compartmentation surveying and contract management skill.
• Knowledge of fire safety legislation and building regulations.
• CIOB Level 6 Certificate in Fire Safety or equivalent experience.
• Strong surveying and contract management skills.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with great communication.

Responsibilities

Requirements

The practical bits

• You’ll work Monday to Friday
• 2x temporary 12 month contracts
• 1 role covering Hertfordshire, Essex and North London with occasional travel to Norfolk and Suffolk and 1 role covering London with occasional travel to Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire
• You need a vehicle insured for business use, and we pay your mileage
• You need a basic DBS check that we pay for
