Job summary

Home Group Limited is seeking a Temporary Fire Safety and Compliance Surveyor to join a team focused on keeping residents safe. You will inspect fire doors, manage remediation work and oversee contractors to ensure high standards and compliance with building regulations.

You’ll act quickly on fire risk assessments, maintain meticulous records, and communicate clearly with customers to build trust. This temporary role supports multiple London-area sites with travel as needed.

Qualifications

Temporary Fire Safety and Compliance Surveyor

Salary £50,000 per annum, plus up to 34 days leave (rising to 39) and matching pension up to 7%

What you’ll do

You have

• Experience in fire safety, building safety or housing maintenance


• Strong fire door and compartmentation surveying and contract management skill


• Knowledge of fire safety legislation and building regulationsi>
  
• CIOB Level 6 Certificate in Fire Safety or equivalent experience


• Strong surveying and contract management skills


• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with great communication

The practical bits

• You’ll work Monday to Friday


• 2x temporary 12 month contracts


• 1 role covering Hertfordshire, Essex and North London with occasional travel to Norfolk and Suffolk and 1 role covering London with occasional travel to Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire


• You need a vehicle insured for business use, and we pay your mileage


• You need a basic DBS check that we pay for
