Job summary

Moxie People is supporting a well-established social housing association by recruiting a Fire Safety Administrator to support fire safety works across properties. Based in Romford, this temporary role requires 37 hours per week with ASAP start.

You will coordinate access for inspections, liaise with residents and contractors, and maintain records to ensure deadlines are met as part of a busy Fire Safety team. A proactive, organised communicator will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in social housing, fire safety, property compliance or repairs and maintenance.
• Experience coordinating contractors, arranging appointments or scheduling maintenance works.
• Strong telephone communication skills, confident engaging with residents (including hard-to-contact).
• Proactive, persistent approach to problem-solving and following up tasks.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Good IT skills and confidence using housing management, repairs or compliance systems.
• Positive, resilient attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a busy operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Proactively contacting residents to arrange access for essential fire safety inspections and remedial works.
• Coordinate appointments, schedules and outstanding jobs with contractors.
• Follow up on missed appointments and access difficulties to keep works progressing.
• Liaise with residents, contractors and internal teams for clear communication and updates.
• Create and update works orders, maintain records and monitor actions.
• Identify potential delays and escalate issues to meet compliance deadlines.
• Support the wider Fire Safety team in delivering improvements to residents' homes.
