Job summary

Technical Resources Ltd in London & Home Counties is seeking a Fire Risk Assessor to conduct fire risk assessments across commercial properties, producing clear reports and advising on compliance. You will join an established firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire safety solutions.

Applicants should have proven fire risk assessment experience, solid knowledge of UK fire safety legislation (RRFO 2005), and excellent report-writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fire risk assessment or fire safety consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
• Excellent report-writing and communication skills, with a professional and confident approach when advising clients.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and stay away overnight when required.
• NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate or equivalent recognised fire safety qualification (desirable).
• IFSM or IFE membership, accreditation, or recognition on a fire risk assessment competency scheme (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough fire risk assessments across commercial properties, identifying hazards and evaluating risks in line with current UK legislation.
• Produce detailed fire risk assessment reports and action plans with practical recommendations to reduce risk and improve compliance.
• Advise clients on fire safety legislation, best practice and appropriate remedial measures.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all assessments are completed to a consistently high standard.
• Travel across London, the Home Counties and, where required, other locations across the UK, with overnight stays as needed.
