Job summary

Mitie, via Tersus, is seeking a Fire Risk Assessor to conduct fire safety risk assessments, door surveys and compartmentation surveys in London. You will produce actionable reports and explain findings to clients, helping them achieve compliance.

Ideal candidates will have a relevant degree (desirable), registration with IFSM/IFE, and proven experience. You will join a flexible team working across client sites with ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Fire Engineering or Fire Safety (desirable).
• IFSM/IFE registration (minimum intermediate).
• Proven experience in conducting fire risk assessments, fire door surveys and compartmentation surveys.
• Strong understanding of current fire safety regulations and legislation.
• Exceptional communication skills to engage and inform clients with ease.

HOURS: 40 hours per week

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

Required Qualifications: applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

• A degree or qualification in Fire Engineering or Fire Safety (desirable)
• Registered with the IFSM, IFE or similar competency scheme (minimum intermediate level)
• Proven experience in conducting fire risk assessments, fire door surveys and compartmentation surveys
• Strong understanding of current fire safety regulations and legislation
• Exceptional communication skills — the ability to engage and inform clients with ease
