Job summary

SGS is seeking a Fire Risk Assessor to perform assessments across commercial, industrial and public-sector environments. You will identify hazards, provide recommendations and help clients manage fire safety responsibilities.

Role is field-based in the West Midlands, with a Monday–Friday 40-hour week and a company vehicle. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience and be registered with IFE/IFSM/FRACS.

Qualifications

• Registered with a recognised professional body - IFE / IFSM / FRACS
• Full Driving Licence for use in the UK
• Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in Fire Risk Assessing
• NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate (Desirable)

Job description

• Locations: Field Based Role available in the following location:

• Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week
• Salary: from £42,000 pa DOE & Company Vehicle

As a Fire Risk Assessor, you will undertake fire risk assessments across a range of commercial, industrial and public-sector environments, identifying hazards and providing practical recommendations to help clients manage their fire safety responsibilities.

• Conducting fire risk assessments in accordance with current legislation, standards and best practice guidance.
• Identify and highlight fire safety risks, providing clear recommendations and escalating high-risk concerns where appropriate.
• Produce, review and quality check detailed fire risk assessment reports.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent communication and customer service skills

Essential Qualifications / Experience

• Registered with a recognised professional body - IFE / IFSM / FRACS
• Full Driving License for use in the UK
• Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in Fire Risk Assessing
• NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate (Desirable)
