Job summary

Future Build Recruitment is seeking two experienced Project Managers to lead electrical, fire detection and fire suppression packages across live projects in London and the South East. You will coordinate client expectations, subcontractors and internal teams to drive projects from mobilisation through to handover.

The role focuses on delivering critical infrastructure, with an emphasis on data centres and mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Liaising directly with clients, consultants and principal contractors.
• Monitoring progress against programme and identifying potential delays.

• Coordinating testing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Supporting procurement and ensuring materials and equipment are available when required.
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Job description

An established and growing specialist contractor is looking to appoint two experienced Project Managers to join their delivery team, supporting a strong pipeline of projects across London and the South East.

These positions would suit an electrically biased Project Manager with experience delivering fire detection and suppression systems within data centre or other critical infrastructure environments.

The roles will involve taking responsibility for projects from planning and mobilisation through to delivery, commissioning and handover, working closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of electrical, fire detection and fire suppression packages across live projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover
• Overseeing electrical, fire detection and fire suppression installations
• Managing subcontractors, engineers and specialist suppliers
• Coordinating project programmes, resources and site activities
• Managing project budgets, costs and commercial performance
• Liaising directly with clients, consultants and principal contractors

Experience Required

The successful candidates will ideally have:

• Previous experience working as an Electrical Project Manager or M&E Project Manager
• Strong electrical engineering / project delivery background
• Experience with fire detection and fire alarm systems
• Experience with fire suppression systems
• Previous experience delivering projects within data centres or other critical infrastructure environments
• Experience managing subcontractors and specialist installation teams
• Strong understanding of project programmes, budgets and commercial requirements
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills
• Experience working across mission-critical environments, particularly data centres, would be highly advantageous.

Location

The roles will cover projects throughout London and the South East, with the majority of the time spent supporting live project sites.

There will also be an occasional requirement to attend the company's Reading office, expected to be approximately fortnightly or monthly depending on project requirements.

Package

• £60,000 – £65,000 salary depending on experience
