Job summary

Fire and Security Careers is seeking a Project Manager for Fire Detection or Fire Suppression installations in the West of South East UK, commutable to Slough or West London. Salary up to £65k per year reflects seniority and market demand.

Location: West of M25 or East London; Kent/Essex options for London projects. Responsibilities include leading fire protection projects, planning, cost control, quality assurance, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Project Manager or Senior PM in Fire Suppression, Fire Detection or Fire Alarm.
• BS 5839 or BS 5838 knowledge.
• Certifications: SSSTS or SMSTS; ECS Black Card preferred.
• CSCS/ECS certification if available.
• Knowledge of UK Fire Project Management standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage fire protection projects.
• Plan, schedule, and control costs.
• Ensure quality installation and commissioning.
• Deliver within budget and on schedule.
• Record variations and manage WIP/O&M documentation.
• Liaise with team and stakeholders effectively.

Overview

Position: Project Manager (Fire Detection / Fire Suppression Installation)
Location: West of South East UK, commutable to Slough or West London. If based in Kent/Essex, London projects are available.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage fire protection projects, ensuring:

• Project planning, scheduling, and cost control.
• Quality assurance of installation and commissioning.
• Timely delivery within budget and on schedule.
• Accurate variation recording and WIP/O&M documentation.
• Effective liaison with team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager in Fire Suppression, Gas Suppression, Fire Detection, or Fire Alarm.
• BS 5839 (Fire Detection / Fire Alarm) or BS 5838 (Fire Alarm Project Management) knowledge.
• Certification: SSSTS or SMSTS; ECS Black Card preferred.
• CSCS/ECS certification if available.
• Knowledge of UK Fire Project Management standards.
• Located in West of South East (M4, M25) or commutable to Berkshire, West London, Middlesex, Surrey, Kent, Essex, Hertfordshire.
