Sedgwick UK is seeking a motivated Forensic Investigator to join our expanding fire investigation team. You will uncover the origins and causes of fires across domestic, commercial, and industrial settings, documenting evidence and producing technical conclusions.

The role involves scene examinations, reporting, and interaction with insurers, solicitors and loss adjusters. A degree in a relevant discipline and fire investigation qualifications are preferred, with travel across the UK required.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline such as Fire Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Forensic Science, or equivalent industry experience.
• Fire investigation experience demonstrating origin and cause investigation, fire dynamics and scene examination.
• Analytical reporting skills to produce clear, impartial technical reports for clients, insurers and legal proceedings.
• Expert witness experience or ability to present findings to non-technical audiences is advantageous.
• Regulatory knowledge of fire investigation standards and guidance.
• Full UK driving licence is essential for travel to incidents and labs.

Responsabilités

• Investigate the origin and cause of fire and explosion incidents.
• Document findings, collect evidence and conduct scene examinations.
