Job summary

Our client, a national Fire Protection company, is seeking a Fire Extinguisher Engineer based near Stoke-on-Trent to service, install and maintain portable extinguishers across commercial and domestic sites. You will plan your own daily routes, work independently in the field, and communicate with customers to arrange visits, ensuring compliance with current safety standards.

A BAFE certification and a full UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• BAFE Certification is essential.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Background as Fire Extinguisher Technician or Engineer.
• Experience in customer-facing roles is beneficial.
• Ability to manage workload and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and installation of portable fire extinguishers across commercial and residential sites.
• Manage your own daily service schedule, planning routes and appointments efficiently.
• Communicate directly with customers to arrange and confirm service visits.
• Record completed work accurately via PDA-based service reports.
• Work independently in the field, representing the company professionally at all times.
• Ensure all work meets current fire safety legislation and health & safety standards.

Salary Bracket: £32,500 basic

On target earnings (OTE): £38,000+

• £1,500 joining bonus for fully trained engineers holding current BAFE certification, paid in two instalments (£750 at 6 months, £750 at 12 months)
