Job summary

4Way Recruitment Ltd in Torquay is seeking a Fire Extinguisher Engineer to service and install portable fire extinguishers across commercial and residential sites. You will plan routes, communicate with customers, and complete PDA-based service reports.

The role requires BAFE certification and a full UK driving licence, with a basic salary of £32,500 and OTE £38,000+. A joining bonus of £1,500 is paid to fully trained engineers holding current BAFE certification.

Qualifications

• Current BAFE Certification – essential.

• Proven background as a Fire Extinguisher Technician or Engineer.
• Confident working in customer-facing situations.
• Able to manage your own workload and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and installation of portable fire extinguishers across commercial and residential sites.
• Manage your own daily service schedule, planning routes and appointments efficiently.
• Communicate directly with customers to arrange and confirm service visits.
• Record completed work accurately via PDA-based service reports.
• Work independently in the field, representing the company professionally at all times.
• Ensure all work meets current fire safety legislation and health & safety standards.

Salary Bracket: £32,500 basic
