Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate Fire Engineer to work on varied projects across the UK, from universities to high-rise towers, contributing to safe, innovative architectural designs.

You will review design information, liaise with multiple disciplines, and present designs to authorities, aiming for chartered status while benefiting from a bespoke development program and flexible hybrid working in the UK.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience within the fire engineering consulting industry.
• BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Role can be based from any of our UK major offices.

Responsibilities

• Review design information and advise on fire safety considerations.
• Liaise with Facades, Acoustics and Structures to integrate fire safety into designs.
• Present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service for approvals.
• Support professional registration progress towards chartered status.
