Job description

Job Title: Fire Electrician

Location: Clockwise Wood Green, London, N22 - Covering London and the South East region

Salary: £46,162 - £48,592 per year

Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified Fire Electrician to join our London team. The role involves mainly lone working, performing small remedial works, and occasional planned preventative maintenance. You will be part of a wider team of experienced engineers. The position is mobile, covering London and the South East, with a company van and all necessary tools provided.

Responsibilities

1. Carrying out fire servicing, repair, and installation works in compliance with relevant regulations to ensure property safety and compliance.
2. Providing clear and timely updates on work progress and advice to customers.
3. Maintaining accurate daily work records.
4. Maintaining systems including Fire Alarms, Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lighting, Fire Shutters, and Curtains.
5. Performing remedial works and maintenance of fire and life safety systems up to 240v, including Emergency Lighting.
6. Resolving problems or initiating solutions, keeping customers informed in line with processes and contracts.
7. Maintaining tools and equipment in good condition and replenishing stocks as needed.
8. Responding effectively to complaints and service breakdowns to meet customer expectations.

Skills and Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with City & Guilds qualification, NVQ 3, or equivalent; currently undertaking qualifications are also welcome.
• Experience with fire alarm and emergency lighting upgrades.
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and fire safety issues.
• Full UK driving license.
• Certifications such as CSCS, NICEIC, or NAPIT preferred.
• Ability to analyze and diagnose problems effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills.
