Job summary

We are working with an established passive fire protection contractor seeking an experienced Fire Door Project/Technical Manager to join their Crawley team. The role covers London and the South East and focuses mainly on Fire Door installation and remedial works (about 90%), with a smaller portion of Fire Stopping projects (10%).

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years' experience within Fire Door installation or remedial works.
• Experience as Fire Door Project Manager or Technical Manager.
• Strong knowledge of Fire Door assemblies, installation standards, inspections and remedial requirements.
• Experience with Fire Stopping systems and passive fire protection compliance.
• Experience managing multiple live projects with direct operatives and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with BM TRADA and Kiwa (IFC) schemes.
• Experience in occupied residential, healthcare, education or commercial environments.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple Fire Door installation, remediation and passive fire protection projects from start to finish.
• Oversee a team of ~10 operatives including Supervisors, Carpenters and Fire Stoppers.
• Provide technical guidance on Fire Door installations and compliance.
• Assist with site surveys, technical assessments, quotations and planning.
• Coordinate labour, materials, subcontractors and programmes for efficient delivery.
• Conduct regular site visits, quality inspections and progress meetings.
• Ensure works are safe, on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.
• Maintain BM TRADA and Kiwa certification compliance.
• Build strong client relationships and provide regular updates.
• Manage project documentation and QA records.
• Collaborate with senior management and commercial teams for delivery.
