Job summary

Top Job Recruitment Limited is seeking a Fire Door Project / Technical Manager to lead fire door projects from our Crawley office, covering London and the South East. You will coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure safe, on‑time delivery within budget.

The role is ~90% fire door installations with some fire stopping. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in fire door installation, knowledge of BM TRADA or Kiwa standards, strong leadership and problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years' experience in fire door installation and remedial works.
• Strong knowledge of fire stopping systems and passive fire protection compliance.
• Experience managing teams and multiple live projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with BM TRADA and Kiwa accreditation standards.
• Experience working in occupied residential, healthcare, or education environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple fire door and passive fire protection projects across London and the South East.
• Oversee projects in residential, private, healthcare and education settings.
• Lead teams of approximately 10 operatives including supervisors and carpenters.
• Assist with site surveys, assessments and quotations.
• Coordinate labour, materials, programmes and subcontractors.
• Ensure on-time, within-budget delivery with high safety standards.
• Conduct site visits, quality inspections, and progress meetings.
• Maintain strong client relationships and excellent service.
• Oversee QA and compliance with BM TRADA and Kiwa.
• Prepare reports and project documentation; liaise with senior management.
