Job summary

Progroup Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Junior Contracts Manager to oversee fire door and fire stopping contracts across Central UK and London. The role involves site surveys, ordering materials, coordinating subcontractors, and attending meetings with clients, with occasional stays away from home.

You will support a senior team, grow into contracts management, and work in a proactive, hands-on environment. A driving licence and relevant fire safety qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire doors and fire stopping—essential
• IFE Level 2 required
• Fire door inspection qualification FIRAS or FDIS required
• NVQ Level 2 in passive fire or related discipline required
• CSCS Card required
• SSSTS required
• First Aid required
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Confident communicator with clients and site teams

Responsibilities

• Support the senior contracts team with day-to-day delivery of fire door and fire stopping contracts
• Attend block meetings and pre-start meetings on site
• Deliver toolbox talks to operatives and subcontractors
• Order and coordinate materials and ensure supplies are available when required
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers throughout project delivery
• Carry out surveys on site and be hands-on when required
• Support programme management and ensure works progress to schedule
• Manage a team of approximately 10 direct operatives plus subcontract labour
• Travel across Central UK and London with occasional stays away from home
