Job summary

Invision Group is seeking an experienced Fire Door Operative to cover projects from Northampton to Oxford. You will install and remediate FD30/FD60 fire doors on commercial refurbishments, upgrade ironmongery, and ensure compliance with current regulations.

The role offers a path to permanent employment with a salary range of £40,000–£45,000, plus a company vehicle or vehicle allowance, pension, and annual leave as part of a long-term pipeline of projects. A valid UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing and remediating fire doors.
• Good understanding of passive fire protection regulations and fire door compliance.
• Full UK driving licence.
• NVQ in Carpentry or Fire Door Installation (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Installation of FD30 and FD60 fire doors.
• Carrying out fire door remedial works in line with current regulations.
• Replacing and upgrading ironmongery, intumescent strips and smoke seals.
• Completing adjustments to existing fire doors to achieve compliance.
• Recording completed works and maintaining high quality standards.
• Working on commercial refurbishment projects including offices, education, healthcare and public buildings.

Job description

Due to a growing workload, our client is looking to recruit an experienced Fire Door Operative to join their team, covering projects between Northampton to Oxford.

Working for a well-established refurbishment contractor, you'll be responsible for carrying out fire door installations and remedial works across a variety of commercial refurbishment projects. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work with the option of moving into a permanent position.

The Role
