Job summary

Progroup Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced fire door engineer/carpenter for a full-time permanent role across the South region, performing installations, upgrades and maintenance on fire doors and frames in commercial and residential projects. You will work with a company vehicle, receive a fuel card, PPE and uniform, with progression opportunities and travel time paid.

The ideal candidate holds NVQ or equivalent in carpentry and joinery, a full UK driving licence, and FIRAS

Qualifications

• Experience installing fire doors and frames or upgrading existing installations.
• NVQ or equivalent in carpentry and joinery.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• FIRAS accreditation/registration is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Installing and carrying out remedial works to new and existing fire doors.
• Complete works in line with the manufacture's specification.
• Document works on a step-by-step basis, ensuring evidence is taken accurately.
• Problem solving and overcoming unforeseen issues with the work.
• Liaise with customers and members of the general public.

Job description

A leader in the provision of fire protection services is looking for an experienced fire door engineer/carpenter to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. You will be working on commercial and residential projects, carrying out new installations, upgrades and maintenance works too existing doors and frames.

The works will be based across the South region, and will cover both internal and external door works. There will be aspects of the role where you will be working around members or the public, including but not exclusive to FED's, corridor doors, riser cupboards and access panels.

• 3rd party accreditation/registration under the FIRAS scheme (desired)
