Job summary

Core Group is seeking an experienced Fire Door Joiner for a 6-week site project in Southend-on-Sea. The role involves installing fire doors, hanging frames, fitting ironmongery, and ensuring doors operate correctly. CSCS card is required, with references to verify experience and a strong focus on health and safety.

Hours are 08:00-16:30, Monday to Friday, with a 6-week duration. The contract pays £210-£220 per day and requires the candidate to work accurately and independently on site.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS Card required.
• Proven fire door installation experience.
• Good knowledge of fire door components and installation.
• Ability to work accurately and independently.
• Two checkable references.
• Good understanding of site health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Install fire doors and door sets.
• Hang doors and fit frames.
• Install hinges, handles, closers and other ironmongery.
• Install intumescent strips and smoke seals.
• Adjust and repair fire doors to ensure proper operation.
• Work from drawings and specifications.
• Complete remedial and snagging works.
• Record completed works where required.

Duties include:

• Installing fire doors and door sets
• Hanging doors and fitting frames
• Installing hinges, handles, closers and other ironmongery
• Installing intumescent strips and smoke seals
• Adjusting and repairing fire doors
• Ensuring doors are correctly fitted and operate properly
• Working from drawings and specifications
• Completing remedial and snagging works
• Recording completed works where required

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of fire door components and installation
• Able to work accurately and independently
• 2 checkable references
• Good understanding of site health & safety
