Job summary

Innovus is seeking a Fire Door Inspector to visit Central/East London sites with travel across multiple locations. The role involves inspecting fire doors, maintaining safety, and reporting outcomes to the Line Manager. Competitive salary with a car allowance is offered.

Hours are 35 per week, Monday to Friday, with duties that include documenting defects, ensuring compliance, and completing job sheets. DBS checks apply as part of sector requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting fire doors on-site or in development projects.
• Ability to document defects and list required works for compliance.
• Commitment to health and safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out full inspection of all fire doors on the development as per job sheet.
• Progress reports to Line Manager as required and maintain on-site logs.
• Ensure PPE is used and equipment is kept in safe condition.

The Job role

The following duties are to be carried out, however, this list is not exhaustive as there may be other tasks which you will be required to undertake from time to time.

• Undertake full inspection of all Fire doors on the development as per job sheet
• Progress report your work to your Line Manager as required
• Maintain all equipment for your job role in operable and safe condition –ensuring it’s security
• Complete job sheets as required for work carried out or scheduled.
• Ensure all defective doors are documented and list works required to make door compliant
• Do not permit the use of any Company equipment by any other person, unless authorised to do so by your Line Manager
• Act with integrity and professionalism always
• Report any repairs required that can not be dealt with on site to the Property Service Advisor when identified as part of the daily checks and also maintain an on site log of all repairs due and completed.
• Complete all training as required

Health and Safety

• To maintain full compliance with the company Health and Safety Policy.
• Follow company procedure and guidelines for Health and Safety in relation to compliance
• Ensure safe working environment and site safety at all times
• Report any breaches of H&S to Line Management
• Report all accidents and near misses to Line Management

Other Duties

• Ensure all correct P.P.E is used at all times and due regard is given at all times to Health and Safety matters
• Ensure all signage is displayed where clearly visible
• To carry out any other reasonable tasks that your manager may request
