Job summary

Innovus in Portsmouth across multiple sites is seeking a Fire Door Inspector working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will inspect fire doors on developments, report findings to your Line Manager, maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety policies.

The role involves travel across sites in the UK, DBS check, training, and opportunity to contribute to ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, with a competitive salary up to £65,000 plus car allowance and a supportive, inclusive

Responsibilities

• Undertake full inspection of all fire doors on the development
• Progress report work to your Line Manager as required
• Maintain all equipment for your job role in operable and safe condition – ensuring it’s security
• Complete job sheets as required for work carried out or scheduled
• Ensure all defective doors are documented and list works required to make door compliant
• Do not permit the use of any Company equipment by any other person, unless authorised to do so by your Line Manager
• Act with integrity and professionalism always
• Report any repairs required that can not be dealt with on site to the Property Service Advisor when identified as part of the daily checks and also maintain an on site log of all repairs due and completed
• Complete all training as required

The Job role

The following duties are to be carried out, however, this list is not exhaustive as there may be other tasks which you will be required to undertake from time to time.

Maintain duties, as directed, for sites managed by Innovus, to include;

• Undertake full inspection of all Fire doors on the development as per job sheet
• Progress report your work to your Line Manager as required
• Maintain all equipment for your job role in operable and safe condition –ensuring it’s security
• Complete job sheets as required for work carried out or scheduled.
• Ensure all defective doors are documented and list works required to make door compliant

Health and Safety

• To maintain full compliance with the company Health and Safety Policy.
• Follow company procedure and guidelines for Health and Safety in relation to compliance
• Ensure safe working environment and site safety at all times
• Report any breaches of H&S to Line Management
• Report all accidents and near misses to Line Management

Other Duties

• Ensure all correct P.P.E is used at all times and due regard is given at all times to Health and Safety matters
• Ensure all signage is displayed where clearly visible
• To carry out any other reasonable tasks that your manager may request
