Job summary

SER Limited is recruiting a Fire & Security Service Engineer based in Hertfordshire. The role involves servicing, fault finding and maintaining Fire Alarm, Intruder and CCTV systems across commercial sites, with some Access Control duties.

You will join an established team and benefit from training and clear progression paths. You will work Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm, with a salary in the £35,000–£42,000 range, a company van, laptop and mobile, plus holidays and overtime options.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing Fire & Security systems on commercial sites.
• Fire alarm experience is important; CCTV knowledge desirable.
• Full UK driving license may be required or beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Service, fault finding and maintenance of Fire & Security systems across commercial sites.
• Cover Fire Alarm, Intruder and CCTV systems; some Access Control where needed.
• Work on-site across Hertfordshire and surrounding areas with a supportive team.

We're working with a well-established and highly respected Fire & Security business that's been operating for over 40 years. As part of a successful group of specialist companies, they have built an excellent reputation across Hertfordshire, North London and the Home Counties, delivering high-quality work for blue-chip clients.

Due to continued growth, they're looking for an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to join their close-knit engineering team.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for servicing, fault finding and maintaining a range of Fire & Security systems across commercial sites. The role offers a varied workload, excellent support from an experienced management team and the opportunity to develop your skills further.

You’ll primarily work on:

• Fire Alarm Systems
• Intruder Alarms
• CCTV Systems
• Some Access Control (experience beneficial but not essential)

Experience with manufacturers such as Texecom, Pyronix, Hikvision, Kentec, Advanced, PAC or Paxton would be advantageous, although training can be provided.
