Infinity Resource Solutions is looking for a Fire and Security Estimator/Bidder based in Harlow. The successful candidate will estimate project costs, create proposals, and manage risks while liaising with clients and suppliers.

Role Summary

Full‑time Security Systems Estimator based in Harlow. The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating the cost of security system projects, creating detailed project proposals, and identifying potential project risks. The Estimator will conduct take‑offs, prepare project cost breakdowns and maintain accurate estimates. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, the Estimator will liaise with clients and suppliers, submit proposals and ensure competitive pricing with agreed profit margins.

Job Responsibilities

• Review all pricing, tender requests and quotes for installation projects, sourcing the best pricing and ensuring timely, standards‑compliant proposals.
• Plan persuasive approaches and pitches to secure business, building rapport with new and existing clients.
• Develop, retain and grow accounts by presenting new solutions and services, maintaining knowledge of market conditions and competitors.
• Research and build relationships with new clients.
• Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
• Collaborate with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
• Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Networking, persuasion, research, writing, closing skills and identification of customer needs.
• Market knowledge, professionalism, CRM and Microsoft Office.
• Detailed knowledge of NACOSS, BAFE SP203/BS5839 and relevant British Standards.
• Relevant qualifications FIA/NSI/LPCB/C&G (experience more important).
• Minimum of 3 years experience in security systems estimating or a closely related field.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills; ability to interpret construction plans, specifications and schedules.
• Experience with estimating software, reporting tools and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of security systems and their components.
• Co‑operative teamwork, self‑motivation and time‑management.
• Strong presentational skills for technical and non‑technical audiences.

Background Checks

Possess a clear record with zero criminal convictions; able to pass a CRB/DBS check and the full screening required in the security industry.
