Job summary

4way Recruitment has partnered with a leading security provider to recruit a Fire and Security Engineer for their team in Slough, covering the M4 Corridor. The role is security-biased, with door-to-door travel and a no call-out rota.

The successful candidate will install and service Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Access Control, and comply with BS standards. A valid UK driving licence and eligibility for security screening are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years installing and servicing electronic security systems.
• Experience with Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Access Control.
• Full UK Driving Licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and reactive maintenance on fire alarms, intruder alarm systems, access control systems and CCTV equipment.
• Perform installation of fire alarms, intruder alarm systems, access control systems, and CCTV equipment.
• Complete all work in accordance with current legislation and relevant British Standards.
• Respond to and manage customer requests in a professional and timely manner.

Salary Bracket: Up to £45,000

On target earnings (OTE): £53,000+

Salary and Benefits - Fire and Security Engineer

• Basic Salary: Up to £45,000
• Travel Time Paid: Door to Door
• Overtime: 1.5 Weekdays and Double Time on Saturdays and Sundays
• Annual Leave: 20 Days + Bank Holidays + 1 Day for Birthday
• Company Vehicle: Van or Car with Personal Use

Key Responsibilities – Fire and Security Engineer

• Carry out servicing and reactive maintenance on fire alarms, intruder alarm systems, access control systems and CCTV equipment
• Perform installation of fire alarms, intruder alarm systems, access control systems, and CCTV equipment
• Complete all work in accordance with current legislation and relevant British Standards
• Respond to and manage customer requests in a professional and timely manner

Skills and experience – Fire and Security Engineer:

• Minimum 3 years' experience installing and servicing electronic security systems
• Experience working with Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Access Control
• Ability to work independently
• Strong fault-finding and system servicing skills
• Full UK Driving Licence (clean licence preferred)
• Must be eligible for enhanced security screening
• Fluent in German (Preference but not essential)
