Job summary

Smart Security Services Limited invites applications from an experienced Fire & Security Service / Small Works Engineer to join our Glasgow team. You will work on a variety of commercial and residential sites, independently and with our engineers, handling maintenance, faults, upgrades and commissioning.

The role offers a competitive salary (£35,000–£40,000) with overtime and bonuses, extensive holiday, a company vehicle for personal use, pension, training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ideally 4+ years' experience in fire and security industry.
• Experience with multiple alarm and access control brands is preferred.

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Reactive call-outs and fault finding.

• Small installations and system upgrades.
• Testing, commissioning and completing job reports.

Fire & Security Service / Small Works Engineer

Salary: £35,000–£40,000 + Overtime + Bonuses

Location: Glasgow & Central Scotland

Hours: Monday–Friday | 08:30–17:00

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Fire & Security Service / Small Works Engineer to join our expanding team.

The Role

A varied role covering commercial and residential premises, working independently and alongside our engineering team.

Main responsibilities:

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Reactive call-outs and fault finding
• Remedial repairs and system maintenance
• Small installations and system upgrades
• Testing, commissioning and completing job reports

Systems: Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control and Door Entry.

Experience & Requirements

Ideally 4+ years' experience within the fire and security industry, with knowledge of some or all of the following:

• Hikvision / Axis
• Pyronix Euro / Enforcer
• Honeywell Galaxy
• Paxton / Aiphone / Videx / Bell
• C-TEC / Advanced / Kentec

Experience with every system is not essential, as training and technical support are provided.

We're looking for someone who is reliable, friendly, confident working independently and takes pride in delivering quality work.

Full UK driving licence required.
