Fire & Security Business Development Manager

North East (Leicester to Newcastle)

Applicants from Leicestershire, Rutland, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, Yorkshire & the Humber, Teeside & Durham

Salary: GBP40,000+ un-capped commission + bonus

Working Hours: Monday-Friday - work from home with travel

Our client is a leading fire & security equipment manufacturer who is looking to bring on a new business development manager covering the North East (Leicester to Newcastle) due to a recent promotion. This company offers very real training and progression opportunities for their employees.


Role & Responsibilities:
  1. Growing sales in Northeast region with both existing and new customer base.
  2. Proactively search business opportunities within the security industry.
  3. Work with the Sales Director in formulating strategy and long-term business development plans.
  4. Adhere to set KPI targets.
  5. Identify and qualify accounts in line with company requirements.
  6. Actively change competitor specifications to our products.
  7. Negotiate and maintain key account agreements on an annual basis, where relevant.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  1. At least 5 years experience in a BDM/ Sales role
  2. Experience and knowledge of the Fire and security sector
