Job summary
SER Limited is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer for small works, installation and commissioning across Swindon and the M4 corridor. You will handle projects from initial installation to handover, working with Gent, Advanced, Kentec, C-TEC and Key systems in care homes, data centres, education and more.
The role is a 40-hour week, Monday–Friday, with paid overtime after 40 hours, and a company vehicle provided. Training and clear progression opportunities are offered.
Qualifications
- Experience delivering small works and commissioning of fire alarm systems.
- Experience with Gent, Advanced, Kentec, C-TEC and Key systems.
- Willingness to travel within Swindon and the M4 corridor.
Responsibilities
- Carry out small works and remedial installations on fire alarm systems.
- Install and modify fire alarm equipment and devices.
- Commission and test newly installed and modified systems.
- Fault find and resolve technical issues.
- Complete system upgrades and alterations.
- Carry out final testing and customer handovers.
- Prepare accurate installation and commissioning documentation.
- Liaise with customers, site teams and project managers.
- Ensure works are completed safely and to standards.
