Job summary

Alecto Recruitment is hiring a Field Service Engineer focused on commissioning and small works, covering the Southwest & Midlands. The role offers £35,000 - £42,000 base, overtime, and benefits, with no on-call rota and regional travel from Swindon to Reading. Based around the M4 corridor, occasional travel to Bristol is possible.

This is a great opportunity to move toward commissioning and project work while maintaining a strong maintenance foundation and customer-facing duties.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in fire and security commissioning, small works and maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostics skills.
• Comfortable working independently and travelling regionally.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out commissioning of Fire & Security systems.
• Complete small works, upgrades and system modifications.
• Undertake planned and reactive maintenance.
• Fault finding and diagnosing system issues.
• Complete commissioning, service and project documentation.
• Liaise with customers and site contacts.

Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Fire & Security Engineers with a strong background in commissioning, small works and maintenance.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer looking to move towards a more commissioning and project-focused role, with no on-call requirement.

The role will cover the Southwest and Midlands, so there will be regional travel involved. The ideal candidate will be based around the M4 corridor between Swindon and Reading, although candidates closer to Bristol will also be considered.
