Fire Alarm Service Engineer - London & South East

Morgan Fire Protection specialises in the delivery of planned and corrective maintenance of fire detection systems and portable extinguishers. While the majority of Morgan Fire’s operational resources are based around London, we provide national coverage through our reactive delivery model. We are currently looking to appoint a new Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join our team servicing the London and South East region.

Salary and Benefits

Basic Salary: £34,000 - £40,000 per annum

Requirements

Who We’re Looking For

• Experience working as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer or similar role.
• Experience in maintaining and servicing fire detection systems.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., BS 5839).
• Strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Participation in our on-call rota (paid extra).

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on fire detection systems at customer sites, ensuring compliance with current regulations and standards.
• Perform routine testing and inspections, including alarm activations, visual inspections, and functional checks.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all work carried out.
• Respond to emergency call-outs and undertake necessary repairs.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain good client relationships.
• Report faults or potential issues to the relevant teams.
• Stay updated with industry regulations and new products/technologies.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
