Job summary

Valoris is seeking a Fire Alarm Engineer to install, maintain, test and fault-find on fire alarm systems across multiple sites in Lancashire. The role requires strong UK fire-safety knowledge and experience with conventional, addressable and wireless systems.

Applicants should have at least five years' experience, FIA certifications, and a professional, safety-focused approach. A company van is provided with optional personal use and extensive leave benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience installing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
• Strong knowledge of UK fire alarm standards including BS 5839.
• FIA certifications or recognized equivalent required.
• Experience with conventional, addressable and wireless systems.
• Fault-finding and problem-solving skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission fire alarm systems.
• Complete planned and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs.
• Test conventional, addressable and wireless systems.
• Modify and upgrade systems as needed.
• Ensure compliance with BS 5839 and fire safety laws.
• Produce service reports and certification records.
• Identify defects and recommend remedial work.
• Communicate professionally with customers and site reps.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment.
