Job summary

Valoris Group is seeking a Fire Alarm Engineer to install, maintain, test and fault-find fire alarm systems across Lancashire sites. You will work with conventional, addressable and wireless systems, ensuring compliance with BS 5839 and current fire-safety standards.

The role requires at least five years’ experience, strong UK standards knowledge, FIA qualifications, and a professional, safety-conscious approach. Company van, mobile and other benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years' experience installing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
• Strong knowledge of UK fire alarm standards, incl. BS 5839.
• Knowledge of Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
• Experience with conventional, addressable and wireless systems.
• Professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach.
• FIA certifications or equivalent qualifications.

Responsibilities

Fire Alarm Engineer

Location: Lancashire
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annul, depending on experience

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing and fault-finding on fire alarm systems across a range of sites. This position requires strong technical knowledge, a thorough understanding of UK fire-safety standards and experience working with conventional, addressable and wireless systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission fire alarm systems.
• Complete planned and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Test conventional, addressable and wireless fire alarm systems.
• Complete system modifications and upgrades.
• Ensure all work complies with BS 5839 and current fire-safety legislation.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

Salary and Benefits

• Salary of up to £45,000, depending on experience.
• 24 days' annual leave, excluding bank holidays.
