Job summary

Robert Hurst Limited is seeking an experienced Electrician / Fire Alarm Engineer to join a growing team. The role focuses on emergency lighting installation, testing, and maintenance, with a strong emphasis on BS 5266-1 compliance and safety across commercial and industrial sites.

The successful candidate will have Level 3 BS 5266-1 qualifications, relevant electrical experience, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Level 3 BS 5266-1 qualification is required.
• Strong experience with emergency lighting installation and testing.
• Electrical qualification/background; Gold ECS card or equivalent.
• Experience working with fire alarm systems.
• Good understanding of current electrical and fire safety standards.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Installation, testing and maintenance of emergency lighting systems.
• Carrying out inspection and testing in line with BS 5266-1.
• Fault finding and rectification of emergency lighting systems.
• Working on fire alarm systems, including installation and testing.
• Completing test sheets, reports and relevant documentation.
• Working across commercial and industrial sites.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to the required standards.
