Job summary
Robert Hurst Limited is seeking an experienced Electrician / Fire Alarm Engineer to join a growing team. The role focuses on emergency lighting installation, testing, and maintenance, with a strong emphasis on BS 5266-1 compliance and safety across commercial and industrial sites.
The successful candidate will have Level 3 BS 5266-1 qualifications, relevant electrical experience, and a full UK driving licence.
Qualifications
- Level 3 BS 5266-1 qualification is required.
- Strong experience with emergency lighting installation and testing.
- Electrical qualification/background; Gold ECS card or equivalent.
- Experience working with fire alarm systems.
- Good understanding of current electrical and fire safety standards.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Installation, testing and maintenance of emergency lighting systems.
- Carrying out inspection and testing in line with BS 5266-1.
- Fault finding and rectification of emergency lighting systems.
- Working on fire alarm systems, including installation and testing.
- Completing test sheets, reports and relevant documentation.
- Working across commercial and industrial sites.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to the required standards.
