Job summary

Henderson Scott is seeking an experienced FinOps Consultant for a 12-month contract in Canary Wharf with hybrid work (3 days onsite). The role focuses on cloud cost transparency, allocation, forecasting and optimisation across public cloud and SaaS providers.

You will build analytics, develop decision-grade models and reporting to tie consumption to business drivers, enabling leaders to manage spend and value confidently.

Qualifications

• Experience in data analytics, business intelligence or financial analysis working with large, complex datasets.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Power Pivot, Power Query, DAX, data models and complex financial modelling.
• Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation and automation, e.g. pandas or API scripting.

FinOps Consultant - Cost Management - Cloud Services - 12 month contract - Canary Wharf Hybrid (3 days onsite)

I have an immediate opportunity for an experienced FinOps Consultant in Cloud Services to join a busy client in Canary Wharf, to provide a robust, auditable view of cloud economics within their enterprise environment.

You will build and maintain their analytics that support cloud cost transparency, allocation, forecasting and optimisation across multiple public cloud and SaaS providers. You will also create decision-grade models and reporting that link consumption to business and technical drivers so leaders can manage spend and value with confidence.

• Experience in data analytics, business intelligence or financial analysis working with large, complex datasets.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Power Pivot, Power Query, DAX, data models and complex financial modelling.
• Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation and automation, for example using pandas or scripting against vendor APIs.
• Background in building or maintaining ETL or data pipelines and handling structured data at scale.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure and public cloud concepts such as compute, storage, networking, containers and managed services.
• Ability to turn ambiguous business questions into structured analysis and stand over your findings.
• Strong focus on accuracy, detail and data integrity.
• Experience creating data-driven content for business and technology stakeholders, with clear written and verbal communication and a proactive approach in a large, matrixed organisation.
