Job summary

TEKsystems seeks a FinOps Consultant to analyse cloud billing, usage and telemetry across AWS, Azure, GCP and SaaS. This role blends data engineering, financial analysis and cloud economics to deliver decision-grade insights and reporting for business, technology and finance leaders.

The candidate will develop cost models, allocate costs, and build forecasting and variance analyses to drive cost optimisation and measurable savings in a large, matrixed organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a data analytics, BI or financial analysis role with large, complex datasets.
• Advanced Excel with Power Pivot, Power Query, DAX and data modeling.
• Python for data manipulation and automation (e.g., pandas).
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and working with structured data at scale.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure and public cloud concepts.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, normalise and reconcile billing data across AWS, Azure, GCP and SaaS providers.
• Develop dashboards and self-service reporting for cost transparency and analytics.
• Identify and prioritise cost optimisation opportunities and quantify impact.
• Develop cost allocation, showback and chargeback logic including shared services allocations.
• Build forecasting, budget-to-actual and variance analyses for cloud consumption.
