Job summary

Harvey Nash is seeking a hands-on FinOps Consultant to join a tech team focused on cloud cost transparency, financial analytics and optimisation. You will analyse cloud spend, build self-service reporting and support cost optimisation initiatives across AWS, Azure and GCP.

You will develop forecasting models, cost allocations and governance reporting, working closely with business, finance and technology stakeholders to drive informed decisions on cloud consumption and spend.

Qualifications

• Experience in FinOps, data analytics, business intelligence, financial analysis or cloud cost management.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, Power Pivot, DAX and financial modelling.
• Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation and automation.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, structured datasets and data modelling.
• Understanding of public cloud infrastructure and services across AWS, Azure and/or GCP.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex findings to business and technology stakeholders.
• Cloud billing data, including AWS Cost and Usage Reports, Azure Cost Management exports and GCP BigQuery billing exports.
• FinOps FOCUS, cost allocation, chargeback/showback and cloud cost optimisation tools such as Cloudability or CloudHealth.
• Data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery or Redshift.
• Forecasting, commitment modelling, SaaS cost management or FinOps certifications.

Responsibilities
